Welcome to the Sheep Tag World Community Forum.
"A Warcraft III Custom Game Forum"
Dear Sheep Taggers,
Welcome to the Sheep Tag World Community. This forum will be the elite mechanism for old, new, pros, and legends to communicate with each other. This forum was started in July 1st, 2007 for the 2nd Annual Sheep Tag World Cup where a wide selection of new and old sheep taggers competed for the crown. Even after the tournament's completion, this forum remains a great place for the sheep tag community to communicate. To these ends, I have tried to moderate these forums to provide a fun setting for everything to hang out. You will also find your fair share of political and religious debate. So, in closing, don't be a douchebag and follow the rules.
Thanks, Mav

WARCRAFT III DELAY REDUCER
| CODE | -Allows the user to alter the delay during the game or before the game to any value between 0-550ms using in game commands listed below, or the Delay Reducer icon. -Can adjust the delay of your game on LAN's, LC, Garena, Hamachi and Battle.net.
|
------------------------------- Tutorial written by Sith_Elves and SheepGod (01/20/09)More life for Sheep Tag :: Delay Reducer GuideStep 1 - Download ProgramDownload the file here or from the attachment provided at the end of this post. Unzip the file into a desktop or another convenient folder. Step 2 - Open ProgramNext, open the unzipped folder and Double click "W3DR". Delay Reducer will only work when Warcraft3 is running. However, you do not need to run Delay Reducer before you run Warcraft3. **If any errors occure then you will need to download the .Net Version 2 Framework from this link: here. Otherwise proceed to the Handling Instructions with the running of your Delay Reducer** Step 3 - Handling OptionsRight click the Delay Reducer icon in the task bar. Enter the desired value into the text box and press Enter. If the text box is disabled it means that either Warcraft III is not running or the Delay Reducer is unable find Warcraft III. You may also alter the delay in the game by entering the following information into the Warcraft 3 Chat screen: !dr "Desired number" (Example: !dr 75) It is recommended that you stay in between 30-80 depending on your connection. Step 4 - Other In game Options| QUOTE | /drp: Pinging players in the game. /drlp: Retrieves the last ping results (it will be put in the clipboard)
/drc: Displaying each players country. /drlc: Retrieves last player country results (it will be put in the clipboard) |
Step 5 - Micellaneous
Switch Languages 1.Right click the Delay Reducer icon in the task bar. 2.Click Language then click on the language you desire, Restart W3DR. 3.If you only use English and dont want the Language menu to appear then just delete the Language folder in your W3DR directory.
Step 5 - Further Notes
Appendix Compendium: - You don't have to remake the game if you forget to open W3DR, just open it whilst the game is in a commenced state and change the latency. - You don't have to have W3DR open the whole game. Change it once and all future games will be delay free (until you close Warcraft). - This is only for the host, if the host is not using W3DR then you will have delay, if the host is using W3DR then all players will have reduced delay (even if players dont have W3DR). - Players using GGC, LC, Hamachi and LAN can now reduce delay. - Vista users need admin priviliges. - The recommended latency setting is 75, it will allow for international players to connect to you with minimal delay, without having to deal with any Delay/Lag spikes.
Version up-to-date as of 10 April 2009, 11:13 PST.

Guide: Pickup.listchecker :: Warcraft III TFT |

**PLC is recommended for public and inhouse sheep tag and Dota hosts.
This is a program that allows you to host LAN games on Bnet, simulating the same effect that GGC has. This has worked marvelously for me and hopefully it will for you too. Also, this may be able to bring GGC to bnet, and help give some life back to Sheep Tag.
Enjoy.. -Rival-TEX

Click here to Download Pickup.Listchecker - Newest version as of 02/11/09**
----------------------- Tutorial written by MaVERICKShEEP and Chakra (02/11/09) More life for Sheep Tag :: Pickup.Listchecker Guide
Step 1 - Download Program
Download the file here or from the attachment provided at the end of this post. Unzip the file using Windows.
*If you have problems downloading the program, try this alternative link provided by the author of pickup list.checker.
Step 2 - Configure the Config file
Once you have unzipped the folder, open the folder. You will see 3 files: BNCSutil.dll, pickup.listchecker.ini (your config file), and pickup.listchecker.exe (the program). Next, Open your Config file. Add the appropriate information where it tells you. Add your ROC and TFT CD keys, your battle.net account and password, and your WC3 directory (normally: C:\Program Files\Warcraft III). For the place where you enter your server (bnetnetwork), switch between uswest, useast, europe, or asia, depending on which server you want to host in.
Config file:| QUOTE | (only edit red text)
bnetnetwork=uswest.battle.net
bnetkey1=roc key here bnetkey2=tft key here
bnetacc=your bnet name bnetpass=bnet pass
war3dir=C:\Program Files\Warcraft III
hostport=6113
|
Step 3 - Move Files to WC3 Directory
Keep your unzipped folder open. Go to My Computer >> C Drive >> Program Files >> Warcraft III. Now select all the files from the unzipped Pickup.listchecker folder and drag them into your Warcraft folder.
Step 4 - Create a shortcut (Optional)
Once you have moved your pickup.listchecker files to your Warcraft folder, right click pickup.listchecker.exe (your pickup.listchecker program) and select "create shortcut." Put the shortcut in your desktop for convenience.
Step 5 - Creating a game
Turn on Warcraft III. Turn on pickup.listchecker.exe Click Local Area Network Button. To host your game, push "Create Game". Select the map of your choice.
Step 6 - Allow battle.net players to join
Once your map has been created. Type : /hostbnet [game name]: This will host a private game with the gn chosen /hostbnetpublic [gamename]: This will host a public game with gn chosen /pingall : once game is hosted it ping
Note: The host will be on LAN, but the rest of the players will be on battle.net
Other Commands: Compiled by Chakra@lordaeron
| QUOTE | /refreshbnet: Refresh player slots on Battle.net.
/checklist: Copys to your clipboard the list of players missing and who shouldn't be in the game.
/sendlan [IP]: Shows the game you host to the LAN screen of the destination IP(destination will need to have his/her port 6112 open and will need to go to the LAN screen before host uses this command, useful if the other person can't connect to battle.net, and it doesnt need him/her to run this app. on his computer at all).
/clientlan [IP:Port]: Same as sendlan, but can show the game you have joined or hosted. You will need to run this app on both computers, default port is 6111, which of course he will need to open.
/scanlan [IP:Port]: Scans for a game IP is hosting on LAN or, if he's/she's running this app., any game he has joined.
/hostbnet [Game Name]: Adds the game you host on LAN to battle.net's custom games list. Use /hostbnetpublic to add it as a public game.
/bnetcmd [Command] or /bnet [command] or /cmd [command]: Sends a battle.net command to battle.net when hosting with /hostbnet.
/pingclients: Host only - Pings players connected to your "listchecker" game.
/openbnet or /startbnet: Connects listchecker to battle.net like it would with /hostbnet so you can whisper and stuff.
/findbnet [Game Name]: Gets the game hosted on battle.net to show on your LAN games screen (so you don't need to log in, it saves some time, NOTE: If you don't specify a game name it will get the whole game list to show on your lan screen).
/setlist [ List] [Game Name]: Overwrites the list manually if it doesn't get it from IRC.
/showlist: copies to your clipboard the list and the name of the ingame players use /showlist2 to get the remaining names if the list wasnt full (warcraft has a 254 character limit for each line)
/copylist: copies the raw list to your clipboard
/closebnet: closes your bnet connection
/setgamename: will tell the program to use the player list from that game for checking purposes
/pinghost: pings the host of the game you joined |
Troubleshooting:If you start pickup list.checker and you get an error saying, "The Procedure entry point PacketGetReadEvent could not be loacated in the dynamic link library packet.dll", then you must download winpcap.dll from: http://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htmPickup List.checker allows both, people on battle.net and people on LAN to connect. GGC is NOT compatiable with PLC. PLC does however, work with Hamachi. Also, it is suggested that your LAN name matches your battle.net account username to avoid trouble with blizzard. Also, Custom Kick does not work with this program. If you attempt to kick one person, it will kick everyone. Version up-to-date as of 02/11/2009 12:00:27 PST.Further questions, please ask in this thread and a member will help you troubleshoot |
